Datamath II Wallpaper

Finised piece, focusing on the calculator as the focal point. Contrasting the red color of the screen to the green of the clover. Also contrasting the hard edges and beige colors of 70's office equipment to the soft, organic, and vibrant grass and nature.

I started this project a bit backwards than my normal. With a painting focusing on soley the calculator and some batteries for some added fun shillouette. Really focusing on the details, while not 100% fully accurate.

My Datamath II - 2500, I recently got this little guy for my desk and fell in love with his 70's asthetics! I needed to celebrate his design with an illustration.

A screenshot, showing the illustration with the UI on my phone. Showing the layout with time, showing why I left a balnk space at the top of the illustration.

Celebrating two things I love, nature and vintage electronics!

A little thing about me, I love all things 70's, weird technology, vaccum tubes, office equipment, floppy disks, pretty much anything outdated. I also love nature and all the little guys and insect friends that live there.
With that being said, I recently got a Texas Instrament Datamath II 2500, a little desk calculator for my workspace. I wanted to celebrate this guy with a little illustration and made it for my phone wall paper.
