A research lab left in dust; a quiet hum of machines fills the air. It seems hastily set up in this place, it does not belong here.

An astral plane, void of known life. There is an eerie silence here, all that you can see are footprints of past explorers, all leading away but never back.

A ringing grows louder as you approach this disk that emits an eerie distorting glow. Hooked up to wires, and other machinery it reminds you of the object that hung in the cathedral, maybe this will take you home.

A series of environments created for a self-created game idea,
A group of knights (that collect, and guard “ancient tech” find this long-abandoned cathedral, with what appears to be a research camp set up from a bygone era. As they snoop through the files it’s realized the tomes are describing a ritual. The knights proceed to go through with it and find that the ritual leads them to this broken/distorted timeline/astral plane where they end up trapped. As they explore, A controlling force awakens, shifting this astral plane to affect those who intrude upon its space. Leading these knights out, this eldritch creature corrupts the portal/leak and escapes soon after the knights.
