This is a possible environment sketch. Made to feel like an Astral Plane. Strange geometric shapes, with harsh lighting and hints some analogue tech to keep with the idea of the base game concept.

A group of knights (that collect, and guard “ancient tech” find this long-abandoned cathedral, with what appears to be a research camp set up from a bygone era. As they snoop through the files it’s realized the tomes are describing a ritual. The knights proceed to go through with it and find that the ritual leads them to this broken/distorted timeline/astral plane where they end up trapped.
